News: Berjaya Land Berhad Signs Jaya Grocer As Anchor Tenant For The Tropika, Bukit Jalil

Berjaya Golf Resort Berhad, a subsidiary of Berjaya Land Berhad (“B-Land”) entered into a lease agreement with Trendcell Sdn Bhd (“Trendcell”) which will see Trendcell operate a Jaya Grocer store with food and beverage outlets at the commercial space of The Tropika, Bukit Jalil measuring a total area of 23.695 square feet.

Tan Tee Ming, Senior General Manager, Property Sales and Marketing Division, Berjaya Land Berhad said, “The management of Jaya Grocer adopts a very strategic and prudent approach in identifying a suitable location for its stores. As such, we are very glad and honoured that The Tropika has been chosen as the location for its next store as this indicates that The Tropika is a premier location in Bukit Jalil.”

Chong Han Keong, Chief Financial Officer said, “We have chosen to expand into The Tropika after ample consideration, due to its location at the heart of Bukit Jalil. We are not just looking to provide the best grocery shopping experience to the residents of The Tropika but to also extend the convenience to the surrounding Bukit Jalil community.” 

Syed Ali, Chief Executive Officer of Berjaya Land Berhad and Ho Yong Pheng, Head of Department, Advertising and Promotions were at the signing ceremony at Berjaya Property Gallery, Bukit Jalil. 

The Tropika is a gated and guarded residence located on 6.5 acres of freehold land in Bukit Jalil. The residential part of the project has 868 units within 4 towers with 4 different types of specially designed units, measuring 732 sq. ft., 974 sq. ft., 1318 sq. ft. and 1251 sq. ft. respectively. With 5 to 7 units per level, it provides sufficient privacy for its residents. Besides the 23,695 sq. ft. space taken up by Jaya Grocer, the commercial space of this project also features 2-storey dual frontage office lots ranging from 3,316 sq. ft. to 3,814 sq. ft., and retail space ranging from 752 sq. ft. to 1,677 sq. ft. 

There is also a biophilic-designed 2.9-acre deck equipped with 68 types of facilities grouped under 8 lifestyle categories connecting the 4 residential towers.
